Title: Elementary School Principal

Work Year: 12-Month

Department: School Administration

FLSA Status: Represented, Exempt

Reports To: Superintendent or Designee

Salary Range: $165,274 - $173,973

Position Overview:

The Elementary School Principal serves as the instructional leader and chief administrator of the school. The Principal is responsible for fostering a safe, supportive, and collaborative learning environment where students, families, and community partners are actively engaged in the success of the school.. The principal leads continuous improvement efforts aligned with the District's strategic coherence plan, with a particular emphasis on school culture, effective teaching in every classroom, and a coherent curriculum that supports high levels of learning for all students.

Education & Experience

• Masters Degree required.
• Connecticut Intermediate Administrator and Supervisor Certification (092) required
• Successful experience teaching and leading at the elementary level preferred
