Join Our Team as a Leading Embedded Software Developer

Job Overview

This is a 6-9 month contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. You'll be working onsite five days a week, contributing to projects that make a real impact in the medical field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on embedded software development experience.
  • Proficient in developing embedded software for medical devices in compliance with FDA/ISO regulations, including IEC 62304.
  • Experience in migrating ARM legacy code to new ARM Boards, creating bootloaders, application code, and developing device drivers.
  • Proficiency in RTOS (CMX, ThreadX, or similar) and multi-threaded applications.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++ targeting embedded modules.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, SPI, UART, I2C, Client's, and DAC's.
  • Strong debugging skills at component-level designs on the PCBA or within an integrated product.
  • Proficient in using lab equipment like logic analyzers, in-circuit emulators, oscilloscopes, and DVMs for debugging and troubleshooting designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with subject matter experts to meet project schedules and milestones.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects with prioritizations aligned with project deliverables.

Preferences

  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC).
  • Experience with simulation and debug tools such as CANoe, Lauterbach.
  • Experience with waveform generation, transducer signal sampling, motor control, and other electromechanical control.
  • Familiarity with static analysis, unit testing, and other tools/methods.
  • Experience using Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working in a Continuous Integration (CI) environment.
  • Proficiency in Python for general-purpose scripting.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
