RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a Mechanical Lead on an EPC Power Project.
- Provide strong leadership to drive mechanical technical design and project coordination.
- Manage Project Schedules and Budgets as well as provide weekly reports to communicate project status, issues, and needs.
- Prepare and maintain resource plans.
- Prepare equipment inquiry/RFQ packages.
- Perform equipment technical bid evaluations and prepare recommendations.
- Review equipment vendor documents for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop job notes and technical scopes of work.
- Perform field walk downs to collect information required to complete work.
- Prepare man-hour estimates for proposals.
- Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings.
- Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to the degree of preparing and providing training for other personnel: both within the company and for the customer.
- Lead, coordinate, and review work of a small staff of engineers and designers.
- As a Licensed Professional Engineer, seals and signs documentation produced by own work. May also seal and sign work done by engineers under direct supervision.
