Job Title: Nuclear Plant Design Integration Engineer
Location: Bellevue, WA | Remote
Pay Rate: $69.00 - $116.00/hr
Employment Type: Contract | Full-Time | 12 Months
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain plant-level requirements, specifications, and programmatic documents aligned to reactor design and regulatory objectives.
- Interface across engineering disciplines to allocate plant requirements, facilitate interdisciplinary design reviews, and resolve cross-functional technical issues.
- Support licensing basis development and integrate plant information into regulatory submittals (Licensing Modernization Project).
- Review and coordinate integrated, safety, and risk analyses; keep project and engineering management informed of emerging technical risks.
- Apply nuclear industry best practices and quality standards (ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001) in a first-of-kind design environment.
Essential Qualifications
- 10+ years in nuclear facility design or operations, with expertise in plant/systems engineering, design engineering, fire protection, operations, or reactor engineering.
- Working knowledge of NRC regulations; familiarity with ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 and cross-disciplinary coordination across licensing, operations, and procurement.
- BS in nuclear, structural, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering (or equivalent); Senior Reactor Operator license accepted in lieu of degree.
