Job Description:
We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead and support large-scale modernization initiatives, including global data center migrations and application transformation efforts. This role blends hands-on technical execution with architectural leadership, requiring deep expertise across application, integration, cloud, data, and security architecture.
The ideal candidate has proven experience guiding enterprise migration programs, modernizing legacy .NET applications, and designing scalable, secure, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams to translate business and migration objectives into executable technical roadmaps.
Architect and support large-scale, multi-region data center migrations to Microsoft Azure.
Assess legacy on-premise applications and define rehost, refactor, re-platform, or retire strategies.
Design hybrid and transitional architectures to support phased migration approaches.
Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for scalability, resiliency, performance, and disaster recovery across global environments.
Design modern application architectures using .NET and ASP.NET Core.
Define API-first integration patterns using REST and JSON.
Establish architectural standards for:
Application layering
Service boundaries
Deployment and hosting models
Produce high-quality solution architecture artifacts, including:
Architecture diagrams
Architectural decision records (ADRs)
Migration blueprints
Design end-to-end solutions spanning infrastructure, application, data, and security architecture layers.
Actively contribute code in C# / .NET for APIs, services, and integration layers.
Build and review API implementations using ASP.NET Core.
Support modernization of legacy .NET Framework applications.
Perform code and architecture reviews.
Guide development teams on best practices, performance optimization, and maintainability.
Design integration architecture options using platforms such as Azure API Management (APIM) and MuleSoft.
Design, govern, and scale APIs using Azure API Management.
Define secure integration patterns for internal and external consumers.
Support legacy-to-modern integration during migration phases.
Ensure API versioning, lifecycle management, and governance standards are followed.
Architect solutions using Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and related Azure services.
Design authentication and authorization solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.
Apply enterprise security, identity, and compliance standards by design.
Ensure observability, monitoring, and diagnostics using Azure Application Insights and related tooling.
Think beyond immediate delivery to ensure long-term platform sustainability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams.
Translate business and migration objectives into clear, executable technical roadmaps.
Identify architectural risks early and drive pragmatic, well-documented decisions.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
8+ years of experience in application development and/or solution architecture roles.
Proven experience supporting large-scale data center or cloud migration programs.
Prior ownership of solution architecture decisions in enterprise environments.
