Carroll College invites applications for two full-time Principal Faculty positions in the developing Physician Assistant Program. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new PA program as we continue development and work toward Provisional Accreditation. Each position is a 12-month faculty appointment within the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, with academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. Both positions report directly to the Physician Assistant Program Director.Each Principal Faculty member will support the design, development, and implementation of the program's curriculum and competencies in alignment with current practice standards and the ARC-PA accreditation requirements. Candidates are encouraged to tailor their application to reflect interest and expertise in either the didactic phase or clinical phase of the program.All Principal Faculty will participate in teaching, student advising, admissions, and ongoing program evaluation, and will work collaboratively to ensure a cohesive and high-quality educational experience across the didactic and clinical phases.On-campus presence preferred, but remote/hybrid options will be considered for the right candidate through 12/31/2027.QualificationsFor Physician Assistants/Physician Associates:Master's degree (or higher) from an accredited Physician Assistant/Physician Associate program.Currently licensed physician assistant in good standing in the state of Montana or eligible to obtain licensure in Montana within 12 months of appointment.Current NCCPA certificationMinimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a PAFor non-PAs: Must hold a MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or graduate degree in Public Health.Minimum of 5 years of experience in related fieldThe ideal candidates will possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills, demonstrate a strong commitment to student support and success, and bring proven skills in critical thinking, conflict resolution, and collaborative leadership. Proficiency in basic computer technology and the ability to learn new course learning management system(s), learning platforms and educational technologies. Must have the ability to occasionally travel to clinical sites within the state and region to conduct on-site student assessments.
