GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
The Principal Faculty member reports to the Program Director and provides teaching, advising, and service to students, the program and the University across both the didactic and clinical components of the Physician Associate (PA) curriculum.

This position has no budgetary responsibility. The incumbent performs teaching, advising, and curriculum duties independently within established program curriculum, accreditation standards, and university policy, exercising professional judgment in day-to-day instructional and advising decisions. Decisions regarding overall curricular structure, new policy, or program-level changes are made in conjunction with the Program Director and the Curriculum Committee rather than unilaterally. Errors in judgment, particularly in the oversight of student assessment, or accreditation-related activities, could affect student learning outcomes, program accreditation standing, and the program's ability to meet ARC-PA requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is primarily performed in a classroom, simulation lab, and office setting, with a flexible weekly schedule that may combine on-campus work, remote work, and clinical practice. Occasional travel is required to fulfill program duties. No significant physical exertion is required beyond that described below.
