POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Principal Hardware Design Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include:
  • Develop state-of-the-art Network Visibility Hardware products and help guide the design of the next generations of product
  • Author Schematics and manage PCB layout resources
  • Support sustaining efforts and implement changes to improve yields
  • Participate in a cross-functional team environment including Mechanical, RTL, and Software, and manufacturing

QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Principal Hardware Design Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Principal Hardware Design Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years relevant experience
  • Experience in product development from concept to production
  • Knowledge of high-speed signal integrity concepts and practices
  • Experience with EMC design techniques and solving EMC non-compliance issues
  • Proficient with lab equipment and capturing complex measurements
  • Experience with high performance processors and embedded platforms
  • Competent with Cadence tools: OrCad/Concept, Allegro
  • Knowledge of PCB Stackup s, and understanding of materials
