Description
Kforce's client in Torrance, CA is seeking a Principal Hardware Design Engineer (hybrid) to join a highly technical engineering team where you'll have end-to-end ownership of complex hardware designs and see your work deployed in real-world systems.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Design and development of complex digital hardware systems from concept through production
- Design high-speed embedded electronics featuring FPGAs, secure processing, networking, and storage
- Drive system-level design decisions, technical tradeoffs, and risk management for complex engineering programs
- Contribute to the establishment of engineering best practices, design standards, and process improvements across the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience designing complex embedded digital hardware from concept through production
- Experience with all aspects of digital board level design, including schematic entry, layout guidelines, signal integrity simulations, and prototype validation
- Knowledge of high-speed digital design, modern memory technologies, and high-performance interconnects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
