Description eCommerce Foundation team is looking for a solution focused, organized, self-starter to join our Human Resources team as a Principal HR Business Partner to support clients in the eCommerce Services (eCS) organization. eCS manages several aspects of the customer life cycle, starting from account creation and sign in, to placing items in the shopping cart, proceeding through checkout, order processing, managing order history and post-fulfillment actions such as refunds. In this position, you will partner with Leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and foster people effectiveness for their respective groups. The Principal, HRBP must be able to work independently, establish and execute long and short-term people strategies while taking a hands-on approach, and interface effectively with professionals at all levels. You'll need excellent communication (verbal & written), professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to function in an innovative and ambiguous environment. You'll need strong analytic skills and the ability to translate your clients' business plans and goals into the human resource capabilities needed to deliver results. You will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, capability, and employee experience. In addition, this role will be accountable for driving global initiatives and projects, such as workforce planning, org design, employee relations and culture. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities - Partner with business leaders to develop their talent strategy to support business growth while maintaining an engaging, respectful and fun work environment. - Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and skills assessment and development. - Coach business partners in career development, leadership and management practices. - Assist in the development and implementation of people plans and solutions to deliver results and sustain a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow. - Analyze business metrics and recommend systemic improvements. - Partner with the business to lead talent reviews, focused on succession planning, employee growth and development and organizational health priorities. - Use data and org health metrics to make decisions and keep leadership informed - Partner with the central HR Partner organization to effectively enable managers, address various employee relations issues, and drive results for the organization. - Lead or contribute to various cross-team and/or cross-organizational Stores Tech projects/goals. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field - Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives - Experience coaching and mentoring at the management level - Experience using MS Office tools and HR Information Systems - 5+ years of HR generalist, management, or business partner role experience - Experience delivering complex, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders Preferred Qualifications - Experience in leadership work as an HR generalist, preferably in a high tech environment - 7+ years of HR specialist, HR generalist (e.g., HR Business Partner or HR Partner), HR manager, or HR program experience - Experience assessing management and executive talent - Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage - Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates - Experience driving employee engagement - Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
