Location & Role Type City: Tucson, Arizona – 3350 E Hemisphere Loop, Building M09. Position: Onsite, U.S. Citizen, U.S. Person, or Immigration Status required. Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance (existing clearance required after day 1).Salary Range $107,500 – $204,500 USD.Responsibilities Work with hardware design team to influence design producibility.Perform producibility assessments and lead Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) engagements to drive cost out of the design.Leverage CAD tools such as DFM‑Pro to analyze and optimize designs.Track DFMA engagements completed by the discipline, review for completeness and applicability.Manage product cost reduction initiatives toward a product cost target.Perform and review one‑dimensional tolerance analyses.Assess suppliers for capability and readiness, offering support to ensure contractual delivery success.Engage with program design teams, communicate analysis results, and negotiate design modifications.Occasional travel required to support supplier activities and collaborate with peers.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years professional engineering experience.Detailed knowledge of one or more manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, welding, forging, injection molding, etc.Experience with Design for Manufacturing and/or Assembly workshops.Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.Preferred Qualifications Certified Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) Lead.Raytheon CORE apprentice certification or equivalent external process improvement certification (Six Sigma, Lean, TPS, DFSS).ASME Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing Professional Certification.Experience performing two- or three-dimensional tolerance analyses.Exposure to or basic understanding of multiple manufacturing processes (multi-axis machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, 3‑D printing, welding, precision mechanical assembly, mechanical inspection).Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Short‑term and long‑term disability.401(k) with match and flexible spending accounts.Flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, and parental leave.Paid time off, holidays, and other applicable benefits per business unit and collective bargaining agreement.Potential eligibility for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs.EEO Statement RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
