The Principle Process/Project Engineer will work on troubleshoot, solve complex processes, and improve chemical process operation. The work done on these tasks may be performed individually or as part of a team. The Principle Process/Project engineer will also work with other senior members of Floquip leadership team to improve the overall quality of engineering, bid packages, and technical knowledge in the department. In certain instances the Principle Process/Project Engineer may be responsible for leading large groups of multidiscipline engineers to ensure the desired results. This person will need to develop and maintain relationships within operations, maintenance, R&D, and engineer to be considered a technical expert and a SME in select technical operations. These tasks may be performed individually or as part of a team.
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering). · 15+ years of related experience in engineering design of chemical plants, including hands-on troubleshooting experience. · Experience in RMP and PSM environments · Knowledge of relevant codes, equipment, and best practices used in the chemical industry. · Strong communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, including ability to concisely / effectively communicate complex technical issues to non-technical people. · Strong working knowledge of process modeling, optimization and simulation software. · Hands-on, motivated and results-oriented individual. · Ability to work independently and as a team. · Comfortable with up to 25% travel.
