PRINCIPAL PRODUCT DESIGNER

Job Description:

We’re seeking a highly experienced product designer to provide senior-level design coverage, focused on shaping net-new, AI-first product experiences for our enterprise collaborative work management platform.
This is not a heads-down production design role. We need someone who shows up as a design leader: present and vocal in meetings, able to drive alignment across product, engineering, and design stakeholders, and comfortable owning ambiguity in a 0-to-1 product space.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Lead design for a net-new, AI-first product area, from early exploration and concepting through detailed, build-ready specifications
•  Explore broadly and generate multiple divergent design directions before converging, and communicate the thinking behind them clearly
• Actively participate in and often facilitate cross-functional meetings, reviews, and working sessions, driving stakeholders to decisions and alignment
•  Take designs all the way to spec: complete flows, states, edge cases, and interaction details that engineering can build from without gaps
•  Design novel interaction patterns for AI-driven experiences (conversational UI, generative outputs, agentic workflows, trust and transparency patterns)
• Partner daily with product management and engineering, contributing to and extending the design system where new patterns are needed

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of product/UX design experience, including principal- or lead-level ownership of complex enterprise SaaS products 
• Demonstrated experience designing AI-first or AI-native product experiences, not just adding AI features to existing products
• Proven 0-to-1 experience taking a net-new product or major product area from concept to shipped
•  Strong facilitation and communication skills with a track record of driving alignment among senior stakeholders
•  Rigor in specification: portfolio should show end-to-end work from exploration through detailed, developer-ready specs
• Fluency in Figma and modern design/prototyping tools; experience prototyping AI interactions is a plus
•  Able to ramp quickly and operate with high autonomy

Pay Range: $85.00 – $95.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
