Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager - HR Systems to lead the strategic planning and delivery of technology solutions within the HR vertical. This individual will serve as the bridge between our HR business partners and IT, ensuring that systems like Workday and related platforms effectively support HR operations including benefits, compensations, payroll, talent management, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.
This role is hands-on role, business-savvy technologist with a deep understanding of HR business processes, strong product management practices, and proven expertise with Workday and its ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their processes and data requirements to come up with solutions that meet organizational goals and specified outcomes.
Current & Future State Architecture: Document and assess current state application architectures and design scalable, future-state architectures aligned with enterprise goals.
Business Process & Data Modeling: Develop and maintain documentation of end-to-end HR business processes and support data models across functional areas such as benefits, compensation, payroll, onboarding, and performance management.
Hands on work:
Execute POCs and implement features in Workday across Core HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Compensation, Benefits, EIB etc.,
Execute tests and debug issues as required
Provide subject-matter expertise for Workday configurations and integrations to identify impact, fix issues, functional changes, outages, and more
Innovation & AI Integration: Have working knowledge and stay current on emerging AI capabilities in the HR domain (e.g., intelligent talent acquisition, predictive attrition, personalized learning) and partner with HR to evaluate and implement innovative solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Engineering, Security, Compliance, and other IT teams to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and well-integrated across platforms.
Change Management: Support user training, documentation, and communication to drive adoption and ensure successful rollouts of new features or systems.
Metrics: Collaborate with senior leadership to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to support HR processes and systems.
Ability to understand legal requirements and concerns raised by country stakeholders and the impact of these on design.
Write: technical documentation and provide team training.
