Job Summary
The Principal Product Manager (PPM) will oversee all aspects of a given product portfolio. The PPM is responsible for creating the strategic product roadmap, ensuring stakeholder support, identifying product opportunities, quantifying product results, and driving the timely and accurate delivery of product features. The PPM will collaborate with Product Managers (PM) and Product Architects (PA) to constantly improve the effectiveness, performance, and stability for their product portfolio. Although the PPM is an individual contributor, as a senior member of the product team, the PPM is expected to help coach junior product team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Establishes, leads, and communicates a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with department and company goals
- Ensures alignment between roadmap, company objectives, and customer needs
- Actively engages with cross-functional teams across business, IT and design to ensure effective product development
- Utilizes data, customer insights, and market feedback to identify opportunities for product feature enhancements.
- Develops an overall holistic approach to product execution and development and conveys outcomes/goals to the supporting Engineering team
- Collaborates with leadership and works to gain cross-functional alignment across the organization
- Actively manages executive stakeholder engagement - communicates product plans, priorities, and progress to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and buy-in
- Trains and develops other product team members on executing Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Defines and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement
- Fosters a culture of experimentation, encouraging A/B testing and data-driven decisions
- Monitors and manages product and program budgets
- Advocates for and acts as the voice of the customer, leveraging feedback, interviews, and analytics to shape product direction
- Contributes to long-term strategic planning - ensuring that needs of product area are being addressed and invested in.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in Product Manager or Technical Product Manager in a matrixed organization leading mid to large size products or High School/GED at least 9 years of experience in Product Manager or Technical Product Manager in a matrixed organization leading mid to large size products.
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience directing and motivating resources in a matrix organization
- Experience relaying expectations of product features to engineering teams
- Experience conducting surveys to determine most appropriate feature to add to a new or existing product
- Experience working with user groups and scrum team to obtain and analyze user stories
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 3 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross- functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail and customer led product development preferred.
- Pharmacy or Healthcare experience
