**Overview** The Microsoft Commerce team is at the forefront of defining how AI-native shopping comes to life, shaping how Copilot helps people discover, decide, and take action. As a Principal Product Manager, you'll be responsible for understanding user and business needs, defining clear requirements, and driving execution across engineering, design, and partner teams. You set strategy, align stakeholders, manage delivery through launch and iteration, and ensure outcomes are measurable, high-quality, and scalable. In this role, you will learn how to operate lean teams that obsess over users, make high-quality decisions grounded in evidence, and ship continuously. You'll develop the ability to move quickly from insight to impact, delivering real, immediate value to users. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction. **Responsibilities** + You will influence others to drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas across divisions. You'll also be an expert in identifying long-term investment opportunities and engaging partners to garner support for those feature areas. + Translate business goals into strategy, user experience and technical requirements in close collaboration with Applied Science, Data Science, Engineering, UX and Product Marketing/Sales teams. + You will define a feature set and facilitate senior-level usability reviews with customers. You'll own the roadmap for multiple feature areas across divisions, and will collaborate with a partner team to build golden configurations and drive scenario walkthroughs. + Enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-first, product development cycle. + As an expert, you will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs in order to improve product development in multiple areas. You'll also identify features to deprecate, manage customer communities, and build trust with targeted customers across sectors. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development + OR equivalent experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development + OR equivalent experience. + 2+ years experience leading cross functional product teams across advertising, privacy, search, conversational AI, or generative AI + 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). + 5+ years experience with data analytics and experimentation tools with working knowledge of SQL and coding skills (Python, Javascript). + Depth in?experimentation and measurement?(A/B testing, causal inference, learning outcomes, cohort analysis).? + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.? + Proven ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment, fostering knowledge sharing and growth within the team.???? \#MicrosoftAI Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
