Principal Product Manager – AI & Internal Platforms
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Work Environment: Fully onsite (100% 5 days per week)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy, prioritization, development, and adoption of internal AI-powered platforms and operational tools. This individual will play a key role in driving product innovation, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, and accelerating execution through the practical application of AI and large language model (LLM) technologies.

The ideal candidate combines strong product leadership experience with hands-on familiarity using AI tools, APIs, and modern product management workflows. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the product roadmap for internal platforms and operational systems
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to define priorities and align product direction with organizational goals
  • Translate business requirements into actionable user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and product documentation
  • Drive adoption, usability, and operational efficiency improvements across internal teams
  • Leverage AI-native workflows and LLM tools to improve product discovery, documentation, prototyping, prioritization, and execution
  • Manage product backlogs, sprint planning, release cycles, and Agile delivery processes
  • Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders while reducing ambiguity throughout the development lifecycle
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to adoption, workflow efficiency, feature utilization, and business impact
  • Identify opportunities to improve scalability and operational efficiency through AI-enabled solutions and automation

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including leadership experience in senior or principal-level roles
  • Demonstrated success owning products end-to-end in fast-paced or growth-oriented environments
  • Hands-on experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams on roadmap execution, backlog management, and product delivery
  • Ability to understand technical concepts including APIs, workflows, data structures, and implementation tradeoffs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and business audiences
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Self-directed mindset with strong ownership, prioritization, and execution skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or managing internal platforms, operational systems, or business tooling
  • Background in AI-enabled product development, workflow automation, or operational optimization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
