    Job Description

The Premium Shopping Experience team is on a mission to firmly establish Amazon as the premier destination for shopping high-quality premium products. Shopping for premium products is more than a transactional purchase - it"s an emotional investment in a shopping journey where the customer is treated to a personalized, curated experience that is visually appealing and immersive.

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager-Tech to own the Content Freshness workstream - responsible for ensuring premium product pages, brand stores, and customer experience surfaces are populated with high-quality, up-to-date, visually elevated content at scale. This role is critical to delivering content-dependent features across the premium brand portfolio and increasing coverage with generative AI-assisted content.

    Key job responsibilities

Own the content freshness strategy for premium products, ensuring the premium catalog maintains elevated, brand-quality content across product detail pages, brand stores, and customer experience surfaces.

Define and scale the generative AI content pipeline, working with content production teams to generate elevated media - including product imagery, multi-product lifestyle content, and short-form motion assets - across the premium catalog.

Drive coverage metrics toward the goal of ensuring premium product pages include at least one AI-assisted piece of content on their detail page, brand store, and/or customer experience surface.

Lead brand outreach and content onboarding, assessing brand sentiment and content needs, guiding brands to provide elevated content modules, and prioritizing high-traffic products to maximize experiment power and business impact.

Own the elevated content program, managing the rollout of enhanced content modules (e.g., key features, brand stories) across premium products, tracking conversion and engagement impact, and informing worldwide rollout decisions.

Develop the content generation strategy to populate premium experiences at scale, including content treatment design, end-to-end workflow pilots, and volume planning.

Partner with science and engineering to automate content quality assessment, ensure full media coverage for premium products, and maintain content freshness through automated refresh cadences.

Measure and report on content health - define content freshness KPIs (coverage percentage, staleness rate, content quality scores), track progress, and identify gaps requiring intervention.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
