Position OverviewOur client is seeking a
Principal Program Consultant to provide senior-level program and strategic consulting support for governmental initiatives. This is expected to be a
continuous position, contingent upon ongoing funding through legislative budget authority.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceThe selected consultant must meet
all of the following minimum qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience implementing regulatory requirements for governmental programs
- 10+ years of experience formulating organizational strategy and directing major strategic initiatives, or managing projects for governmental initiative implementation
- 10+ years of experience analyzing processes and developing briefing documents
- 10+ years of experience providing executive-level consultation for governmental programs
- 10+ years of experience formulating and enforcing work standards for governmental and regulatory initiatives and projects
Contractor Responsibilities:- Project Initiation
- Assist in planning a project initiation meeting with Department staff within five (5) business days of Purchase Order issuance
- Document the meeting through formal meeting minutes and submit to the Contract Manager within five (5) business days following the meeting
- Meeting minutes must include:
- Date of meeting
- List of attendees
- Summary of topics discussed
- Program & Project Management
- Conceive, plan, and conduct projects, including implementation of legislative requirements
- Collaborate with the Department to establish short- and long-term objectives for programmatic support
- Develop and maintain a project plan and assigned tasks for team members, as directed
- Complete assigned tasks in support of overall project objectives
- Meetings & Communications
- Attend regularly scheduled calls and meetings related to program operations
- Prepare summaries and informational memoranda on operational issues, as directed
- Documentation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain project artifacts, including:
- Project reports
- Oversight reports
- Program operation recommendations
- Provide weekly project and assignment updates using tools such as MS Word, Excel, Smartsheet, MS Project, or other Department-approved software
- Submit a monthly activity summary documenting work performed to meet project objectives
- Include timesheets correlating hours worked across assigned service tasks
- Monthly summaries must be reviewed and approved by the onsite coordinator
- Submit to the Contract Manager within 15 calendar days following month end
- Data Security & Confidentiality
- Comply at all times with Department data security and confidentiality procedures
- Adhere to all requirements outlined in the Data Security and Confidentiality documentation attached to the Purchase Order
