The Creators team's mission is to make Amazon the Earth's most desired destination for commerce creators and their content. We own the Associates and Influencer programs and brands across Amazon to ensure a cohesive experience, expand creators' opportunities to earn through innovation, and launch experiences that reinforce feelings of achievement for creators. Within Creators, our policy team works directly with executive stakeholders, tech, and business development teams to set and enforce global program rules, remove bad actors, and make it easy for creators to understand and comply with program requirements. We accomplish that mission by defining policies, aligning leadership on debates, anticipating or uncovering risk, updating global Operating Agreements, and working closely with cross-functional teams to consistently enforce rules while handling escalations and exceptions in a highly structured and organized manner.

We are seeking an organized, experienced, results-oriented leader to oversee the structure, administration, and execution of global program policy frameworks that protect program integrity while enabling creator success at scale. This is a highly visible position that requires a candidate with proven strength in "Insist on the Highest Standards," "Dive Deep," and "Are Right a Lot" leadership principles who can consider multiple perspectives before developing comprehensive policy solutions that balance risk mitigation with creator enablement. This leader will work across functional domains, geographies, business lines, and even Amazon companies to establish consistent, enforceable policies that scale globally. Successful candidates are leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, and have a consistent track record of driving alignment on complex policy decisions. You should have strong customer obsession with the ability to dive deep into fraud patterns and policy violations, strong data/analytical skills to measure policy effectiveness, a self-starter spirit, and experience convincing senior leadership to invest in policy infrastructure and enforcement mechanisms. You must be a strong owner and influencer, as well as someone who can think beyond the way things have always been done.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define and enforce global policy frameworks across 20+ countries that protect program integrity while enabling creator success at scale, determining global and region-specific policy needs before shepherding implementation, communication, and enforcement mechanisms.
  • Lead cross-functional policy alignment with executive stakeholders, tech, business development, legal, and operations teams to resolve complex policy debates, anticipate emerging risks, and establish consistent, enforceable rules that balance fraud mitigation with creator enablement
  • Own policy performance metrics and success criteria during business-as-usual operations and high-velocity events, continuously monitoring policy effectiveness through data analysis, identifying opportunities to reduce defects, and driving automation to improve enforcement at scale.
  • Manage global Operating Agreement updates and policy documentation, working directly with legal teams to translate policy decisions into enforceable contract terms while ensuring creators can easily understand and comply with program requirements.
  • Handle policy escalations and exceptions through highly structured mechanisms, demonstrating excellent judgment to resolve complex cases while maintaining consistency in policy application and building sustainable cross-functional processes.
  • Monitor industry changes, technologies, and emerging fraud patterns to proactively identify when they should drive strategic, tactical, or roadmap shifts in policy approach, working with WW business development leads to define requirements for new enforcement products and features.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across functional domains, geographies, business lines, and Amazon companies, using influence over authority to drive alignment on policy infrastructure investments and enforcement priorities with senior leadership.

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
