Job TitleJob Description Required Education • Bachelor's degree in computer science, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field Required Experience/Skills • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in robotics simulation, software engineering, or a related specialized technical field • Strong Python programming experience in a Linux environment • Extensive experience with robotics software development and hardware integration • Experience with CAD modeling and digital twin development • Hands-on experience with simulation platforms such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo, Webots, Unity, or MATLAB/Simulink • Experience developing physics-based simulation models, including tool-tissue interaction and robotic system behavior • Experience integrating and simulating sensors within robotics environments • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical progress and milestones Preferred Experience/Skills • Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse and Universal Scene Description (USD) workflows • Experience with articulated robot simulation • Working knowledge of ROS2 and robotics control systems • Experience with edge computing technologies • Experience supporting AI model development through simulation environments Job Duties • Develop and maintain a digital twin simulation environment for the client's Robotics and Enabling Technology applications • Migrate the existing Mako Operating Room simulator to NVIDIA Isaac Sim using asset import and scene definition capabilities • Configure robotic articulation controllers and integrate ROS2 for robotic system control • Build and enhance simulation environments to support operating room layout optimization, workflow analysis, collision detection, and accessibility studies • Develop and validate physics models for tool-tissue interaction, including bone resection and tissue manipulation • Integrate and validate multiple sensor models within the simulation environment • Collaborate with clinical application, robotics, and software engineering teams to ensure accurate representation of robotic systems and operating room components • Support simulation-based evaluation, workflow optimization, and AI model training initiatives • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and provide regular progress updates • Work independently on assigned technical deliverables while collaborating with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and project blockers • Present project milestones, technical findings, and development progress to engineering leadership and stakeholders**Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.****Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client's business needs and requirements.**
