    Job Description

    Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The mission of Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) is to leverage Amazon Leo and provide high-speed, low-latency, and secure satellite broadband services to United States and allied government customers.

    The Principal Sales Executive for US Federal Civilian will deliver business growth focused on U.S. Government customers with unique requirements specifically among federal civilian government agencies (e.g. Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Department of Commerce, Department of the Interior, Department of Justice, Department of Energy, etc.). As Principal Sales Executive for US Federal Civilian, you will drive business growth through rapid integration and adoption of Amazon Leo broadband and space connectivity services with Amazon Leo Government customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with excellent customer experience to own the execution of Amazon Leo for Government"s sales strategy and go-to-market plan for a key group of customers to deliver business outcomes.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Develop a growing book of business in the US Federal civilian sales team.
    • Drive business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate by helping to define, identify, pursue, and close key opportunities.
    • Develop and sustain trusted relationships with key federal civilian customers at all levels.
    • Lead complex strategic initiatives and deliver results independently and through cross-matrixed teams.
    • Develop strategic partnership opportunities to achieve growth.
    • Manage complex contract negotiations and complex business requirements and activities which deliver results.
    • Think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally.
    • Deliver excellent written and verbal communications.
    • Communicate significantly complex decisions, trade-offs, results, and financial modeling succinctly, both verbally and in writing, to customers and stakeholders.

    This position is located in Amazon HQ2 in Arlington, VA. Some travel, primarily domestic, will be required.

    This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
