ABOUT THE ROLE

A professional services organization is seeking an expert-level SAP S/4HANA Finance professional to support the design of a federal financial-management solution focused on debt and collections. This role will translate complex federal business processes into future-state SAP capabilities, define controls and integrations, and facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate combines deep SAP FI/AR expertise with direct experience supporting federal debt and collections processes and a strong understanding of the full federal debt lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions supporting federal debt and collections processes.
• Define future-state processes covering incoming order acceptance, advance payments, reimbursable billing, revenue collection, debt management, Treasury referral, offsets, and write-offs.
• Develop process controls, data requirements, and system integration requirements across FI/AR, Public Sector Management, billing, and Treasury functions.
• Lead fit-to-standard workshops with business, functional, and technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate current-state assessments and map existing processes to recommended future-state models.
• Evaluate data-quality, reporting, audit, compliance, and financial-management requirements.
• Contribute to solution blueprints and implementation planning.
• Support rough-order-of-magnitude estimates and early-stage project mobilization activities.
• Identify process, system, data, and integration considerations that may affect implementation.
• Present recommendations and solution concepts to business leaders and technical teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align functional requirements with federal financial-management objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Expert or Principal-level experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions.
• Deep functional expertise in SAP FI/AR and Public Sector Management.
• Direct experience supporting federal Debt and Collections processes.
• Strong understanding of the federal debt lifecycle, including:
  • Debt identification
  • Debt management
  • Treasury referral
  • Offsets
  • Write-offs
• Experience with incoming order acceptance, advance-payment processing, reimbursable billing, and revenue collection.
• Ability to design future-state processes, controls, data requirements, and system integrations.
• Experience leading fit-to-standard workshops and current-to-future-state process mapping.
• Knowledge of federal financial-management, audit, data-quality, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Experience contributing to solution blueprints, ROM estimates, implementation plans, and project mobilization.
• Excellent workshop facilitation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across business, functional, and technical teams.

• Must be able to travel periodically to Maryland for onsite workshops and events.
