Position Overview Principal Systems Engineer – Section Responsible Systems Engineer, hired by Raytheon (RTX) for the Advanced Technology Effectors System Engineering Department in the Systems Engineering and Test Center (SETC) organization. This is a fully onsite role located at 805 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd, Tucson, AZ. U.S. citizenship is required for this position. The role oversees updating and maintaining system and subsystem level requirements specifications and leads verification and validation efforts.Responsibilities Lead effort to update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirement specifications.Serve as Systems technical lead for verification and validation, ensuring requirements are assessed during Verification and Qualification Testing.Collaborate with Systems and Hardware IPTLs and Chief Engineer on program technical tasks.Lead Systems Verification Reviews with the Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, and Integrated Product Team Leadership.Act as the go‑to Systems Engineer for the program and mentor new team members.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8 years of relevant experience.Experience with systems software, firmware, hardware, requirements, integration, and/or test.Experience in test planning and verification of system requirements.Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics is preferred.Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required.Experience in the defense industry and with military systems, DoD customer infrastructure, Agile development processes, performance analysis, DOORS/Cameo/cPDM.Understanding of the Systems Engineering Product Development cycle and experience with Earned Value Management System or Cost Account Management.Strong customer focus, collaboration, and communication skills.Security Clearance Active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret level) required prior to start date. Ability to obtain an interim clearance is required.
