At Amazon Web Services (AWS), everything starts with security. We think big, innovate on behalf of our customers, and tackle problems at global scale. As cloud computing continues to disrupt industries everywhere, we are seeking a seasoned go-to-market leader to own worldwide executive GTM strategy across our Security, Identity, and Governance (SIG) portfolio.

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and building go-to-market strategy at global scale? Join the AWS Worldwide Specialist Organization for Security, Identity & Governance to define and drive how AWS takes its SIG portfolio to market worldwide to shape the strategy, mechanisms, and field-facing programs that accelerate secure cloud adoption, influence product direction, and help AWS customers be more secure.

You will operate with significant autonomy in an ambiguous, high-visibility space to set GTM priorities, design scalable programs and mechanisms, and enable the global field and sales teams who carry the SIG portfolio to customers. You will translate customer and field signal into a coherent worldwide strategy, channel feedback to AWS leadership and product teams, and track measurable business outcomes across the portfolio.

This is a strategy and ownership role for a leader who can operate at executive altitude, raise the bar on how we take security to market, and drive high-speed execution across a global, cross-functional organization.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Own worldwide GTM executive strategy for the SIG portfolio: define priorities, create narratives that resonate, and build the mechanisms, stages, success metrics, and playbooks to scale worldwide.

  2. Channel executive customer and field insight into structured feedback loops that influence AWS leadership priorities and SIG product direction, driving practitioner-led advocacy and measurable adoption.

  3. Coach and enable the field on executive engagement, provide advisory services to sales and field teams on GTM execution, account strategy, and program adoption, raising the organization"s overall capability at the exec level across the SIG portfolio.

  4. Own the operating cadence and reporting (inspection mechanisms, success metrics, and ROI reporting) that measure GTM effectiveness and program health.

  5. Partner with global teams to pilot, launch, and scale executive GTM programs from planning through execution, leading multiple simultaneous initiatives that require both strategic vision and high-speed tactical execution. Travel up to 40% as needed

About the Company

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
