Job Summary
Seeking a Principal Software Engineer / Lead (.NET) to provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams. This role will drive architecture, modernization, cloud adoption, and engineering best practices while remaining hands-on with critical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define architecture, technical standards, and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Lead enterprise application modernization and migration from legacy .NET to modern platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Provide hands-on expertise in C#, .NET 8, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework Core.
- Drive Azure cloud, microservices, API-first, and event-driven architecture initiatives.
- Lead CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, observability, and engineering quality improvements.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, Infrastructure, Data, and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET.
- Enterprise-scale distributed systems and software architecture experience.
- Production experience with Microsoft Azure preferred.
- Experience with SQL Server, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, SRE, and cloud migration.
- Experience in regulated industries such as insurance or financial services.
- Experience with AI/GenAI integration in enterprise applications.
