JOB TITLE: Principal Software Engineer

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (5 months with potential for extension)

Summary: 

• Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications and operating systems.

• Provides technical support to project team members for software development activities.

• Coordinates work teams and ensures successful project completion for complex software projects.

• Uses DOORS database for requirements management and traceability on Flight Management Systems (FMS) programs.

• Applies FMS systems knowledge for software design and development.

• Demonstrates expertise in software development concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Performs a variety of software development tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

• Provides consultation on complex software projects as a top-level contributor or specialist.

• Applies experience with DOORS database usage on FMS programs.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

• 8+ years of experience in software development, programming applications, or operating systems.

• Experience with DOORS database usage on FMS programs is required.

• FMS systems knowledge is strongly desired.

• Experience designing and developing software programming applications or operating systems is required.

• Experience coordinating work teams and ensuring successful project completion is required.

• Experience providing technical support to project team members is required.

• Experience providing consultation on complex software projects is required.
