Title:  Principal Solutions Engineer/Architect/Lead

Project:  ERP Migration Project (Any ERP to Oracle Fusion ERP)

Type of Hire:  Contract to Hire

Location:  During the contract period, the role can be performed remotely from anywhere within the U.S. However, upon conversion to a full-time position with Client, you must reside and work from one of the following states: Washington (not Washington, DC), Oregon, Idaho, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, or Arizona. (Need this in writing)

 

Role:  You will serve as a senior technical leader and advisor, guiding architecture decisions, identifying risks, and ensuring alignment across upstream and downstream systems. You will also partner closely with internal teams, contingent staff, and an implementation partner to successfully deliver the migration from PeopleSoft to Oracle Fusion ERP.

 

Job Description:  

  • This is a high-impact opportunity to help drive a mission-critical transformation at BECU. You will play a key role in modernizing core financial systems.
  • This role is essential to the program’s success and requires someone who can bring structure, leadership, and foresight to a complex enterprise ERP migration. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience leading similar transformations and can anticipate challenges across systems, integrations, and data flows.
  • Bring structure and clarity to project execution, including:
    • Work breakdown and sequencing
    • Risk identification and mitigation strategies
    • Governance and decision frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, business stakeholders, and vendors Mentor and guide engineers and analysts, elevating team capability and delivery maturity.  Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices

Must Have Skills
  • 12+ years of overall IT experience with enterprise application and ERP transformation programs
  • Strong experience as a Principal Solutions Engineer, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Technical Lead
  • Proven hands-on leadership experience in ERP Migration Projects, specifically Any ERP → Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Expertise in leading Solution Design and Technical Strategy for large-scale ERP transformation initiatives
  • Strong experience defining and guiding Data Migration Strategies including:
    • Data integrity
    • Data reconciliation
    • Data completeness
    • Data validation and governance
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise System Integrations, Data Flows, and System Dependencies
  • Experience assessing, redesigning, and overseeing enterprise integration patterns across complex environments
  • Strong expertise analyzing and documenting upstream and downstream system impacts
  • Extensive experience with large-scale Data Migration Planning and Execution
  • Ability to proactively identify integration risks, technical dependencies, and downstream impacts of system changes
  • Strong leadership experience driving ERP modernization and transformation initiatives
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to identify potential project pitfalls early and provide practical, experience-based solutions
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture standards, governance, and best practices
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, implementation partners, and business stakeholders
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in Microsoft/Azure environments
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Azure Data Factory
    • Cloud-native data integration tools
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience modernizing legacy ETL and data pipelines to cloud-native integration solutions
  • Prior experience in Finance, Banking, Credit Union, or other Regulated Industries
  • Experience working in complex enterprise modernization programs involving multiple integrated systems
