Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Principal or Sr Principal Digital Engineer at its Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. In this role you will be supporting our sustainment and modernization programs. Our ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, a drive to lead from where you are, collaborative people skills, and the proven ability to work within a technically diverse and fast-paced team. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the design and development of digital circuits and subsystems, including FPGAs, CPLDs, ASICs, and other digital components. • Generate and update digital system requirements and select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. • Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite development and testing of firmware before hardware is available. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers, to deliver integrated solutions. • Implement rigorous testing and validation processes for digital designs to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications. • Mentor junior engineers in digital design, including firmware and signal processing.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Digital Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited school with a minimum of 5 years directly relevant experience; Master's with 3 Years; PhD with 1 Year. • Experience evaluating, selecting, programming and testing FPGAs for complex systems. • Experience with MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages. • Experience developing simulation frameworks and test benches. • Experience integrating and troubleshooting firmware with software and hardware. • Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Digital Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited school with a minimum of 8 years directly relevant experience; Master's with 6 Years; PhD with 4 Year. • Experience evaluating, selecting, programming and testing FPGAs for complex systems. • Experience with MATLAB or equivalent programming/analysis languages. • Experience developing simulation frameworks and test benches. • Experience integrating and troubleshooting firmware with software and hardware. • Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Xilinx Vivado and/or Simulink HDL coder. • Experience in digital signal processing, digital beamforming, adaptive processing, or tracking algorithms. • Experience in aviation and/or Department of Defense programs. • Electrical Engineering Degree • Current DoD Secret clearance or higher

Primary Level Salary Range: $108,200.00 - $162,400.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
