Position Overview

Concord Academy of Petoskey is seeking an experienced and visionary full-time Principal to lead its Pre-K-12 school community. The Principal will provide strong instructional leadership, support staff development, and foster a positive, student-centered learning environment that aligns with the school's mission and values.

Concord Academy of Petoskey is a public charter school serving students in grades Pre-K-12 in Petoskey, Michigan. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and daily management of school operations
  • Support and evaluate instructional staff to promote high-quality teaching and learning
  • Foster a positive school culture focused on student achievement and well-being
  • Implement and support curriculum aligned with state standards and the school's mission
  • Lead school improvement initiatives and strategic planning efforts
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and charter requirements

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field (required)
  • Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate (required)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience and prior leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive school culture
