Our client is seeking a Principal System Interoperability Engineer with an active Secret Security Clearance for a role based at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) in Bedford, MA.
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in data links and communications engineering, including 5+ years supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). The role also requires expertise in Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation at both subsystem and system levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze interoperability issues across systems and platforms.
Provide technical support to resolve complex problems during development, testing, and operational fielding of communication systems.
Support software integration and test efforts.
Plan, implement, and oversee the fielding of Link 16 to international partners.
Participate in NATO and allied planning meetings to ensure Link 16 interoperability with allied fighter aircraft and Combined Air Operations Centers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Technical Experience:
Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance
Education: Master's degree in Engineering
15+ years in data links and communications engineering
Minimum 5 years of DoD-related experience
Strong knowledge of Air Force systems integration, testing, and deployment, particularly in relation to data link interoperability, interfaces, and test/verification requirements
Experience in Developmental and Operational Test and Evaluation at subsystem and system levels
Proficiency in defining and documenting Combat Net Radio (CNR) networking parameter configurations for Air Force weapon systems
Familiarity with developing and documenting Joint Service approaches for integrating weapons into existing tactical data link environments
