Job Description:

The Role

As a Principal Systems Analyst, you combine a passion for fixed income with a talent for delivering high‑quality solutions that drive meaningful value for Money Market portfolio managers, traders, analysts, and broader fixed income stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with the Money Market business and operations teams to understand the product vision, needs, and challenges. From there, you will work with your technology teammates to deliver innovative, high quality, cost effective, and timely solutions. You’ll ensure the solutions you help deliver meet stakeholder acceptance criteria and quality standards and that they are aligned with the tactical and strategic goals of the organization. This role also entails collaborating with other roles within the fixed income business, cross technology partners, and potentially external organizations in designing and delivering technology capabilities supporting the Money Market business.

  • Defining for the team the why and the value new features/enhancements bring to the product and business, while also working with your delivery team on how to solve for and bring those solutions to customers
  • Leading the definition and estimation of epics and stories, working with product management to align deliverables with the roadmap and strategic direction, and gathering requirements and acceptance criteria of new features and/or enhancements for the Money Market technology platform
  • Supporting the product to help ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and production stability and to minimize financial and operational risk
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners to ensure alignment and accelerate progress
  • Support and empower the team by working closely with members to prioritize work, manage timelines, and proactively remove obstacles to deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) in technology related field, fixed income and/or asset management credentials a plus
  • MBA or Masters is a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in business/systems analysis or product owner, working on large, complex programs, with expertise in Agile delivery environments and experience with technical practices including test driven development
  • Experience working in the financial industry and product experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and planning skills with the ability to execute autonomously, act as a liaison between business and technology team members, and effectively manage risks/issues when they arise
  • Strong analysis skills, with proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining large, complex, and dynamic products and solutions across geographically dispersed teams (including proficiencies in workflow/context diagramming and value stream mapping)
  • Excel in articulating the key user and customer benefits of Money Market capabilities, functions, and features as they contribute to the success of fixed income businesses – and then representing those aspects for technology teams
  • Proven quality assurance skills, with experience implementing best practices for automation, manual test execution, and end-to-end testing processes
  • A deep commitment to learning and understanding user needs to inform high-quality product outcomes
  • Self-motivation, drive, and a strong focus on client satisfaction and delivering results
  • Quick learner with a collaborative mindset and a strong team-oriented approach
