Solar Turbines is looking for a motivated team member to work on New Product Introduction (NPI) for plant level solutions using the agile development process. This is an exciting environment with an opportunity to develop new technology and products. This specific position focuses on developing system level models, creating reliability studies and delivering on remote operation enablers related to turbomachinery power applications. Areas of focus will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Hybrid Power Systems
  • Supervisory & Predictive Control
  • Optimization
  • Machine Learning
  • Validation Testing
  • University Research
  • Integration into existing systems

What You Need To Have:

Educational Background:

  • BS in Engineering

Technical Excellence:

  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • Turbomachinery subsystems & balance of plant knowledge
  • Physics based modeling - system modeling in MATLAB, Simulink
  • Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation/Testing
  • Power Electronics experience

Top Candidates Will Have:

Educational Background:

  • A Master's or PhD degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

Technical Excellence:

  • PowerFactory
  • Data Visualization/Analysis
  • Control systems knowledge
  • Field or test cell experience
  • Programming experience
  • Great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the Agile/Scrum -Process

Stipend Relocation:

Partial relocation assistance may be offered.

This position requires a 5-days in office schedule.

Summary Pay Range:

$120,600.00 - $180,900.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
