We're seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager with deep robotics engineering and/or industrial automation expertise to architect and drive transformative automation solutions. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in robotic systems development and deployment of robotic solutions at scale. Other relevant experiences include building operational technology systems and industrial software solutions. In this role, you'll translate customer needs into product requirements and executable roadmaps, working closely with robotics engineers, software developers and applied scientists. You must be able to evaluate technical tradeoffs while considering customer value, business impact and scalability. You'll take part in technical discovery, architecture reviews, and detailed feasibility analyses while driving product strategy that pushes the boundaries of what's possible in robotic automation at scale. Deep experience with industrial robotic systems, AI/ML systems for physical automation, and large-scale distributed systems is essential. Key job responsibilities - Serve as the Voice of the Customer for the product line throughout its life cycle from initial concept creation to launch, and subsequent support of the product. - Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams. - Participate as a member of the core team during development, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, implementation, testing, and launch efforts. - Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences. - Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers - Present confidently in a written format to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences - Demonstrate deep understanding of the scientific research landscape, including research methodologies, common challenges in scientific workflows, and emerging trends in the scientific community to inform product decisions and effectively address researcher needs Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product - Experience technical product management Preferred Qualifications - Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements - Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
