What you'll do...

Position: Principal Technical Program Manager 

Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr., Bentonville, AR 72716 

Duties: Drive monitoring across multiple programs and decompose performance metrics into measurable outcomes for individual projects. Independently identify key risks, assess severity and likelihood, develop mitigation plans, and manage issues to unblock programs with minimal guidance. Evaluate and manage the likelihood and impact of risks across multiple areas of work, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders as needed to remove barriers for teams. Ensure effective use of program budgets by aligning teams to the highest-value efforts, clarifying priorities, aligning resources, and tracking and managing dependencies. Release underutilized systems, such as scaling down staging and testing environments after production release and identify work that no longer delivers sufficient value. Own and lead complex, large-scale programs through full lifecycle execution while mentoring team members on best practices. Reassess and refine roadmaps in response to changing conditions to bring at-risk programs back on track. Proactively implement processes and tactics to accelerate timelines. Define, implement, and continuously improve standard, scalable, measurable, and repeatable workflows for cross-functional teams. Establish goals and objectives for ambiguous programs and break them into parallel sub-projects and subprocesses for execution. Simplify concurrent deliverables, manage engineering queues across development cycles, and oversee testing progress across multiple teams. Develop and implement prioritization frameworks to support dynamic resequencing of a portfolio of initiatives. Demonstrate knowledge of essential business and domain principles, industry trends, market segments, competitor activities, and relevant success metrics within the program context. Apply understanding of domain processes, technologies, ways of working, and terminology to inform program decisions. Expand program plans to incorporate communications, marketing, and field service management considerations. Lead discussions and conduct impact analyses and due diligence to guide build-versus-buy decisions. Identify opportunities to implement new processes, automation techniques, and updated ways of working while assessing impacts on interdependent domains. Proactively research emerging processes and automation practices across industries to inform and influence product roadmaps. Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs that include multiple interdependent workstreams, timelines, and resource constraints. Secure commitments for scope, delivery timelines, and resources, and manage cross-functional dependencies across multiple areas of work. Resolve ambiguous situations involving conflicting business and product strategies and drive clarity for program teams and leadership regarding strategy and end-to-end technology solutions. Identify synergies, overlaps, and inefficiencies across program tracks and mentor team members on improvements. Lead initiatives that enhance ways of working and program execution practices. Independently engage identified program stakeholders according to established cadences to ensure alignment and provide regular updates. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and align them on roles, responsibilities, ways of working, and execution timelines throughout program stages. 

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field plus 6 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management or a related field; OR Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field plus 4 years of post-bachelor’s progressively responsible experience in product management or a related field. 

Skills Required: Must have experience with: Leading large-scale, cross-functional technical programs, defining scope, milestones, dependencies, delivery timelines, & coordinating global or multi-region initiatives; Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) & scaled delivery frameworks (Program Increment planning, Stage-gate, Hybrid models); Managing cross-program dependencies, technical risks, & mitigation strategies using structured risk registers, escalation paths, & change-management frameworks; Supporting enterprise compliance initiatives, including coordination of security controls, audit readiness, & certification efforts; Supporting release governance, production readiness, incident response, & post-production stabilization; Distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, & high-availability architectures to support scalable enterprise solutions; Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) & demonstrating CI/CD & DevOps framework awareness to support reliable delivery; APIs, service-oriented architecture, & microservices-based systems in large enterprise environments; Portfolio & roadmap tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, dashboards, similar systems) for intake management & execution tracking; Jira & Confluence for program planning, dependency tracking, milestone management, documentation, & status reporting; Analytics or observability tools (e.g., OpenObserve or similar platforms) to review system performance, operational metrics, & program outcomes; Creating & presenting data-driven program metrics, dashboards, & executive reports using tools such as Power BI or equivalent analytics platforms; Collaborating with engineering teams for engineering delivery & business teams for business requirements. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. 

 Rate of pay:  $110,000.00 - 220,000.00/year
