Job Description

We're seeking a Principal GPU Demand Planner who enables the strategy and execution of forecasting and decision making through a strong combination of modeling, business intelligence, and market and industry trend analysis. An ideal candidate possesses a deep experience in developing data analytics, creating scenario analysis, and partnering supply management functions. The Principal GPU Demand Planner possesses advanced knowledge of process improvement, and actively drives iteration and new learning into the inputs and methods for strategic requirement forecasting. This role bridges executive leadership, sales, and engineering to map customer requirements to datacenter capacity, requiring deep knowledge of GPU infrastructure, networking, and supply chain logistics.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, iterate, and maintain end to end long-range demand planning models at the customer, initiative, SKU, and geo level. This role bridges executive leadership, sales, and engineering to map customer requirements to datacenter capacity, requiring deep knowledge of GPU infrastructure, networking, and supply chain logistics.

  • Build demand plans based on strategic goals, business trends, and inputs from stakeholders. Interact with engineering customer management, product management, networking, datacenter, and finance to understand demand requirements.

  • Socialize demand plans with senior leaders in capacity planning and operations, supply chain, engineering, customer management, and finance to achieve alignment.

  • Identify demand forecast risks and develop prioritized, effective, flexible, and durable mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate healthy balance between long range planning and short-term execution. Understand end to end supply chain flow to help ensure customer demand is met.

  • Collaborate with product management to understand product lifecycle, transition, and how that impacts forecasting.

  • Provide direct inputs and analysis of demand data to management, finance, and operational teams in creating and maintaining the corporate S&OP process.

  • Develop routine and ad-hoc demand analyses and reports for senior management.

  • Maintain demand planning review processes to improve forecast accuracy.

  • Demand planning is both science and art. It is critical to understand how to translate business strategy into forecasting models, both quantitatively and qualitatively.

  • Work with business intelligence teams to translate planning processes into system models to determine and plan resource needs that meets capacity and performance needs.

  • Drive process improvement in demand planning to ensure efficient, scalable deployment.

  • Lead strategic AI/ML datacenter capacity planning, managing multi-billion dollars, large-scale AI/GPU infrastructure deals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fields

• Requires 7+ years in large-scale AI/ML datacenter capacity planning and project management.

• Extensive experience in developing demand plans and forecasts for new and existing products

• Understand impact of revenue goals, customer usage, overhead and buffer, data center space and power availability on capacity management.

• Experienced with forecasting and demand planning for server storage and networking

• Advanced in Excel modeling and building complex forecasting models with multiple inputs to drive recommendations and decisions

• Experienced with infrastructure hardware, memory, CPU, JBoDs, servers, etc. Ability to read and interpret product BOM and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous cloud experience and/or GPU infrastructure for air/liquid-cooled datacenters and network architecture.

·Thrive in ambiguity and ability to make high judgement decisions from ambiguous context.

· Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and draw conclusions.

· Maintain key operational metrics that measure demand planning performance driving continuous improvement.

· 7+ years' experience with Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).

· Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $90,100 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
