Description

In this role, the Principal Product Manager will be tasked with leveraging the potential of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to help strategic customers achieve their business goals. The position requires a mix of deep technical understanding of cloud service and the ability to effectively understand customer need. The PPM will serve as a bridge between product teams, engineering, and customers, identifying specific challenges, cloud adoption drivers, and key service value propositions. The emphasis is on understanding key reference customers needs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the delivery of desired features.

The product manager will own the discovery, development, and integration of features spanning multiple OCI products. Additionally, the role encompasses the creation of customer reference programs, sales collateral, and various content types. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is emphasized, contributing to Oracle''s global growth, market share expansion, and customer retention efforts.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will be spearheading the creation of services and features that the world's largest customers need to successfully adopt the cloud. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $102,300 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle''s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with Oracle-wide stakeholders and work closely with external partners and internal product teams across the company.
  • Manage strategic engagement with the field to help grow our international footprint, take market share, land marquis/big logos, and retain existing customers.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years of relevant hands-on product management experience with cloud or enterprise software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Deeply technical with an understanding of cloud infrastructure-able to define new features and functionality and synthesize them into what customers want/need.
  • Hands-on technical product manager -fungible enough to be deployed on any problem anywhere in OCI.
  • Ability to define and shape the business strategy for large product areas
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a proven track record building and leading engineering teams at scale.
  • Can excel and deliver results under pressure.
