Position Overview
The Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of the school, responsible for ensuring a safe, high-performing learning environment aligned with the mission of Tindley Accelerated Schools. This role requires strong leadership in academics, staff management, school culture, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
Establish and promote high academic standards and expectations for all scholars and staff
Oversee and evaluate instructional programs, lesson plans, and classroom delivery
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to improve teaching effectiveness
Ensure curriculum alignment with network goals and student achievement outcomes
Use data to drive instructional decisions and improve scholar performance
School Operations & Management
Manage daily school operations including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
Develop and maintain the master schedule to support effective instruction
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and network policies
Oversee school facilities to maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment
Implement and monitor emergency procedures and safety protocols
Staff Leadership & Development
Supervise, evaluate, and support all school staff
Foster a collaborative and accountable professional culture
Lead regular staff meetings and professional development initiatives
Identify performance gaps and address personnel concerns as needed
School Culture & Climate
Create a safe, structured, and positive school environment
Establish and enforce discipline systems and behavior expectations
Maintain visibility and engagement with scholars, staff, and families
Promote a culture aligned with Tindley’s mission and values
Family & Community Engagement
Build strong relationships with parents and the community
Communicate regularly with families to support student success
Engage stakeholders in school improvement efforts
Administrative & Compliance Duties
Maintain accurate records, reports, and attendance data
Oversee inventory of school supplies, materials, and equipment
Ensure proper supervision of students during all school activities
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education or related field required
Valid School Administrator License required
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Minimum of 2 years administrative or leadership experience preferred
Preferred Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
