Principal's Secretary
The position of a Principal's Secretary is available immediately at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Ensure efficient operation of the school administrative office and provide clerical services for the school's administrative staff.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school graduate or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Previous secretarial experience preferred (inside or outside public education)
Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Must possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to perform a variety of tasks often changing assignment on short notice
Must perform assigned duties with a minimum of supervision
Bilingual preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Monitor the work of campus secretaries and clerical aides
EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). May work prolonged or irregular hours.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: 220 days-basis
