Print Operator - Custom Pre-press (2nd Shift)

The Printing operator receives, prints and sorts incoming electronic standard and custom orders.

*Should have prior experience working with computers to manipulate and organize electronic files. Prior experience with graphic arts programs preferred. Prior experience operating a MAC computer preferred, specifically Freehand and Illustrator programs.

LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469
POSITION: Contract
PAY RATE: $21.00 hour
SHIFT: 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Functions

" Receives, prints and sorts incoming electronic standard and custom orders.
" Locates and pulls archived proof sheets and matches to incoming orders.
" Locates electronic order files and aligns to appropriate art templates, making minor adjustments as needed.
" Outputs electronic file to appropriate plate making equipment.
" Groups orders by stock, ink, color and quantity to ensure maximum printing efficiency and delivers to press-line.
" Prints proof of electronic file and files for future orders.
" Replenish, chemicals, plate material as needed.
" Trouble shoot plate making equipment, escalating complex issues as needed.
" Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Prior experience working with computers to manipulate and organize electronic files; Prior experience with graphic arts programs preferred. Prior experience operating a MAC computer preferred, specifically Freehand and Illustrator programs.
  • Skills: Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills; strong organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Abilities: Ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy; detail oriented; ability to handle multiple priorities; Ability to work effectively in a diverse, team environment.
