Print Operator / D shift - nights

Overview

Join our team as a Printer Operator for the night shift in Hickory, NC, a vibrant community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. This position offers a 12-hour rotating shift from 7pm to 7am on a 2/2/3 schedule. With a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour, this role is perfect for individuals seeking a stable and rewarding career in the printing industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting both internal and external customer requirements effectively.
• Consult work orders and setup sheets to determine daily production requirements.
• Set up printers according to specifications, ensuring proper selection of print dies.
• Manufacture products in accordance with customer requirements and product specifications.
• Test materials and record results as required, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Perform doffing from the machine at the end of each cycle.
• Complete all necessary documentation for machine operation.
• Maintain and clean printers, dies, numbering heads, and work area.
• Alert Supervisor or designee of any non-conformances.
• Conduct changeovers for the next order and perform turnover with previous and following shifts.
• Actively participate in problem-solving by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, and carry materials as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining printing equipment.
