Print Production Associate
Pay: $18.00-$23.00/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm
Location: Cleveland, OH 44114
Duration: 1-Year Assignment
Overview
Support high-volume print production by operating printing and finishing equipment, preparing materials for mailing and shipment, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to meeting production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Print Production
- Operate low- to mid-volume production printers.
- Move printed materials from production printers to inserting equipment.
- Operate inserting machines, postage equipment, paper cutters, laminators, hole punches, and other finishing equipment.
- Wrap, pack, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Estimate, schedule, and track incoming production jobs.
- Store production files and completed jobs for future reprints and backups.
- Perform file and document conversions using standard software.
Quality & Production Support
- Perform quality inspections before, during, and after each production run.
- Troubleshoot basic production issues to meet output and delivery requirements.
- Perform routine operator maintenance on production equipment.
- Maintain production, billing, and reporting logs.
- Collect and submit meter readings.
Mail & Office Support
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and accountable packages.
- Log incoming shipments and mail for tracking purposes.
- Sort and scan hard-copy documents into digital formats.
- Apply asset tags to office equipment and maintain inventory records.
- Coordinate office equipment moves, additions, and changes.
- Maintain production and office supply inventory.
- Clean and maintain office equipment as needed.
- Perform courier and mail delivery duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience
- Experience operating production printers required.
- Experience operating inserting machines required.
- Experience operating postage machines preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
- Previous print production or document processing experience preferred.
Skills
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Comfortable using email, internet browsers, and file management.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Basic math skills, including multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple production jobs and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent lifting and moving of paper cartons, mail tubs, and printed materials.
- Ability to safely operate production equipment and material handling equipment as required.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Post-secondary technical training is preferred.
