Job Title: Print Production Level 2
Location: Webster, NY
Job Type: Hourly Consultant
Hours: 7:30 am to 4 pm, M-F
Pay: $19/hr
Essential Functions:
Receive, review, and electronically log customer print and production jobs
Operate high-volume printers, copiers, and standard finishing equipment including paper cutters, inserters, laminators, hole punchers, folding, and inserting mail equipment
Perform document assembly, finishing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of completed materials
Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after each production run to ensure accuracy and output quality
Estimate, schedule, track, and maintain incoming production jobs and completed work
Troubleshoot production and equipment issues to meet delivery and output requirements
Sort and scan hardcopy materials for digital conversion and printed document use
Inspect electronic files for formatting issues including fonts, image resolution, and image registration
Perform file and document conversions utilizing standard software applications
Integrate variable data files into print templates as required
Track, archive, and back up customer jobs for future reproduction
Collect meter reads and maintain production and billing logs
Maintain supply inventory and distribute materials as needed
Perform routine operator maintenance on production equipment
Provide minimal training and support to customer end-users on equipment operation and processes
Maintain a professional customer service approach while supporting production deadlines and operational goals
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
Skills:
Demonstrated computer proficiency and functional knowledge of PCs, including keyboard, mouse, file navigation, and printer connectivity
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to create spreadsheets, apply formulas, sort and filter data, create graphs, and import/export information
Ability to embed files into applications and transfer data between Word and Excel
Knowledge of internet, intranet, web browsing, email communication, and document management
Ability to locate and use network-connected devices, drives, files, and printers
Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
Basic math skills including multiplication, division, and percentages
Ability to work independently and solve routine production issues efficiently
Strong professionalism, communication, and customer service skills in a production environment
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or print production environment
Experience operating print production and finishing equipment preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced production or document services environment is highly desirable
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Post high school technology training or related technical experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
