Description:

Job Title: Print Production Associate
Location: Amelia, OH
Job Type: Hourly Consultant-potential to turn perm based on performance
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, M-F
Pay: $26/hr

Must have outstanding customer service skills along with Excel skills and the ability to multitask

 

Essential Functions:

  • Operate digital printing, color production, and high-volume print/copy equipment to meet customer production requirements.
  • Receive, review, electronically log, schedule, and track incoming print production jobs.
  • Perform quality inspections before, during, and after each production run to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
  • Operate standard finishing equipment, including paper cutters, laminators, hole punchers, folders, inserters, and related production equipment.
  • Optimize document formatting and design to ensure high-quality reproduction.
  • Inspect digital files for fonts, image resolution, registration, and other production issues prior to printing.
  • Sort, scan, convert, and index hardcopy and electronic documents for digital storage and reproduction.
  • Integrate variable data into print templates and prepare files for production.
  • Maintain production records, reporting logs, billing information, and file backups for future reuse.
  • Apply asset tags to office equipment, maintain asset databases, and coordinate equipment moves, additions, and changes.
  • Process incoming and outgoing faxes, collect meter readings, and support billing activities.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues, coordinate service requests with internal support teams and third-party vendors, and perform routine operator maintenance.
  • Clean and maintain production and office equipment as needed.
  • Process forms and update records using standard PC applications.
  • Provide basic training and guidance to customer end users on equipment operation.
  • Support continuous process improvement by developing work processes or production templates when appropriate.
  • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency operating digital print production equipment and office production devices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience creating spreadsheets, using formulas, sorting and filtering data, creating charts, importing/exporting information, and integrating data between applications.
  • Strong understanding of PC operations, network drives, printers, file management, email, and web browsers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot print production and equipment issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of document preparation, file conversion, scanning, and digital imaging processes.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple production jobs while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coach and mentor coworkers while maintaining a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service environment.
  • Previous experience in print production, digital printing, copy center operations, or document services is strongly preferred.
  • Experience operating high-volume production printers, finishing equipment, and document management systems is preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary technical training or equivalent hands-on experience in print production, document services, or related technology preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
