Print Production

This position will support the faculty print center at a college in Manchester, NH. The hiring manager is looking for someone that is familiar with Print Production, large format printing and mounting, Fiery software, folding, etc. They need someone that can think on their feet and problem solve and can produce the work, not necessarily a graphics designer person that has never done production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain high-volume digital production printers and large-format printing equipment.
  • Manage print jobs using Fiery Command WorkStation or similar print management software.
  • Produce posters, banners, signage, and other large-format materials.
  • Perform mounting, laminating, cutting, folding, binding, and other finishing services.
  • Review print jobs for accuracy and perform quality control checks prior to delivery.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure color consistency and print quality.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and print quality issues.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance including clearing jams, replacing toner, and replenishing supplies.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Communicate directly with faculty and staff to understand project requirements and provide status updates.
  • Maintain organized production workflows and accurate job records.
  • Assist with mailroom, delivery, and general print center operations as needed.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of print production experience.
  • Experience operating digital production printers and finishing equipment.
  • Experience with large-format printing and mounting.
  • Experience using Fiery Command WorkStation or similar print workflow software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
