The opportunity
Shift: 2nd
- Run an 8‑color Komori sheetfed press with double coater (aqueous and UV), leveraging H‑UV capabilities
- Master EC/UV curing systems—operate and maintain for stable performance
- Use modern color control systems (CCS) to hit targets and maintain SID
- Read and apply trapping, gray balance, and dot gain data to manage print quality
- Execute each job to the ticket and customer specs; escalate unclear items quickly
- Support production quality checks to ensure every job measures up to our standards
- Keep the press area safe, orderly, and compliant with SOPs
- Assist with related tasks and maintain department housekeeping
Is this you?
- 5+ years in a pressroom environment, with strong quality control skills
- Detail‑driven, organized, and comfortable with changing priorities
- Team‑minded and self‑motivated; strong interpersonal communication
- Physical readiness: lift ~40 lbs., stand for full shifts, frequent walking/kneeling/reaching, constant hand/arm use
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. during maintenance (roller changes, etc.)
