Printer Operator/Production OperatorJob Duties:
- Run the dry offset presses to the established production speeds and quality standards running at or above 105% efficiency.
- Monitor quality of print throughout production runs…assuring that print match’s signed sample always.
- Keep scrap at or below 2.0%.
- Read and fully understand the ECS and shop orders making sure everything (packaging, labels, and skid tickets) are correct on final Product that goes out the door.
- Oversee work crew that consists of a packer and loader.
- Must be able to trouble shoot, maintain, and perform minor maintenance on presses if needed.
- Load or pack a press during an 8 or 12-hour shift monitoring inks and quality at the same time.
- Will need tools to properly do the job after a 90-day probation period.
- Abides by and enforces all WNA policy and procedures.
- Works with safety first no compromise attitude.
- Follows All GMP Policy and Procedures.
- Keep press and surrounding area clean and organized with all adjustments clean of ink and no tape or temporary repairs on the press.
- Works the hours they are scheduled to work since the position of operator is extremely critical in the day-to-day operation of the plant. Work shift will fall into the 24/5 or 24/7 operations of the plant.
Requirements:
- Perform any other task that may be required and directed by supervisor.
- Weekend work and overtime should be expected.
- Must be able to manage a challenging environment.
- Some mechanical skills.
- Printing experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements include:
- To be an active learner and listener with some troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
- Needs tohave some prior light mechanical ability: Printing operator experience is a big plus.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
