With delivery centers and offices across North America and India, we take pride in building long-term relationships and delivering excellence through innovation, collaboration, and integrity.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant III to provide on-site break/fix services for HP PC and printer products in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on hardware diagnostics and repair across laptops, desktops, retail POS, and workstations, with printer expertise as a strong plus. The consultant will educate customers, manage critical service events, and collaborate with client and customer teams to ensure high satisfaction and effective, cost-aware service delivery.Responsibilities:Perform on-site break/fix support for HP laptops, desktops, RPOS, workstations, and printers.Configure hardware, software, and basic network components to restore service.Execute unit repairs, part replacements, and alignments using appropriate tools and procedures.Troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues, including third-party software, networks, and switches as needed.Collaborate with escalation personnel and follow technical action plans to remediate PC/print incidents.Educate customers on technology, service steps, and preventive practices while managing expectations.Prioritize multiple service events, meet contractual commitments, and document administrative tasks accurately.Required Skills & Qualifications:Technical and mechanical hardware repair experience across PCs and peripherals; printer repair exposure preferred.Proficient troubleshooting using logical, systematic methods and standard tools/alignment apparatus.Strong customer-facing communication skills with clear verbal and written updates on-site.Ability to balance priorities, work independently, and re-prioritize based on contract and business needs.Understanding of service cost, parts usage, and financial impacts of field decisions.Physical ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime, holidays, and non-traditional shifts.High School diploma or equivalent with additional hardware technology training; college preferred.Preferred Skills:Hands-on experience with printers and advanced diagnostics.Familiarity with retail POS hardware, peripherals, and simple network configurations.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
