Sigma Inc. is seeking an experienced Printing Support / Press Operator for a 3-month contract opportunity in Charlestown, MA. This position is ideal for an experienced Pressman, Offset Press Operator, Printing Machine Operator, or Document Production Specialist with hands-on experience operating offset printing equipment. The successful candidate will support daily print production while also assisting with digital printing and mailroom operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various offset printing presses in a document production environment.
• Operate or support production using equipment such as:
  • AB Dick 9780
  • Ryobi 3302
  • Continuous-feed SuperWeb press
• Perform routine printing and document production tasks according to established procedures.
• Assist with digital printers and other printshop equipment as needed.
• Provide support to the mailroom during periods of increased workload.
• Safely move paper, printed materials, supplies, and other production items.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintain an organized and safe production area.
• Follow instructions and production guidance from directors, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Work collaboratively with the printshop and mailroom teams.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and established production standards.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pressman, Offset Press Operator, Printing Operator, Print Production Specialist, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience operating offset presses strongly preferred.
• Experience with AB Dick 9780, Ryobi 3302, and/or SuperWeb press is highly desirable.
• Ability and willingness to learn additional printing equipment when needed.
• Ability to provide support across the printshop and mailroom.
• Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to print quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to take direction from supervisors and coworkers.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced document production environment.
