We are seeking a detail-oriented
Prior Authorization Customer Service Representative to support our client’s Health Management Delivery Operations Prior Authorization team. This is a
remote, non-clinical opportunity ideal for candidates who have recent prior authorization or high-volume call center experience and are comfortable working in a production-driven environment.
You will play an important role in helping ensure prior authorization requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and within required contractual timelines.
What You'll Do- Process assigned prior authorization work from initiation through completion using established work instructions and documented guidelines
- Complete 100% of assigned daily workload while meeting minimum production expectations
- Process requests accurately and within established contractual timeline requirements
- Perform daily work according to established quality and productivity standards
- Respond to assigned inquiries accurately and within specified due dates
- Interact professionally with Prior Authorization staff and provide appropriate, timely responses
- Complete all required training, learning, and professional development within established timeframes
- Conduct special project research as assigned
- Maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality when handling healthcare-related information
What We're Looking ForRequired:- Minimum of 6 months of recent prior authorization and/or call center experience within the past 12 months
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a production and quality-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage assigned workloads and meet established deadlines
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred:- Prior experience supporting prior authorization processes
- Microsoft Word experience
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Healthcare, health plan, insurance, or healthcare customer service experience
